Metropia Rolls Out App To Cut Commutes In Texas
Tucson, Arizona-based Metropia, a developer of mobile apps which helps commuters choose less congested routes to work, said it has launched in Austin, Texas, with the local transportation agency. Metropia said it has been working since September of 2014 in beta with more than 500 drivers, in an effort with the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. Metropia said its app is aimed at reducing traffic and alleviating city wide congestion. Austin looks to be the company's first city.
