PublicEngines Acquired By Motorola Solutions

Salt Lake City-based PublicEngines, which operates the CrimeReports crime mapping site, has been acquired by Motorola Solutions, the companies said this morning. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. PublicEngines was founded in 2007. According to Motorola Solutions, PublicEngines had more than 2,000 customers, and helps add crime analysis, predictive policing and citizen engagement applications to its product lineup.
