Webroot Claims Strong Growth
Broomfield, Colorado-based Internet threat protection and security software provider Webroot says that it had double-digit revenue growth in its first quarter. The privately held company did not disclose actual revenue numbers, but said it saw 11 percent consumer revenue growth, 67 percent growth in the small and medium business segment, and 11 percent in the OEM segment compared with Q1 of 2014. The company said that translated to about 900,000 new home users, over 6,000 new business customers and 850 new MSPs. The company attributed the growth to partnerships with Best Buy and Amazon.
