Prescient Wins Air Force Contract
Denver-based Prescient, a startup which is applying software and technology to improve the process of building both multi-unit and residential buildings, has scored a contract with the U.S. Air Force for a project in Texas. The company--which says it has now raised $7.6M in total in funding--said the company covers the installation of its system for a dormitory at Lackland US Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Size of the contract was not announced. Prescient says it is working with Mortenson Construction and their joint venture partner Earthworks on the deal. Prescient is backed by private equity fund Kanusul Investments Pte. Ltd., and is applying technology and software to create more efficient, manufactured buildings. The company has been targeting its technology for us in building apartments, condos, senior and assisted living communities, hotels and college and military dormitories.
