Primary Data Takes Series B Round To $60M
Salt Lake City-based Primary Data, the stealthy developer of software-defined data center technology, has upped its Series B funding to $60M, according to one of its investors. According to Mercato Partners, Primary Data has increased the size of its Series B funding round to $60M, with participation from Mercato and other investors, including Accel Partners, Battery Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Pelion Venture Partners. Primary Data is led by former Fusion-io founders David Flynn and Rick White. The company says it plans to unveil its first products sometime this spring, in the area of software for managing enterprise, unstructured data.
