Harris Broadcast Completes Imagine Communications Buy

Denver-based Harris Broadcast, the content management and infrastructure company which serves the television broadcasting market, said this week that it has completed its acquisition of Imagine Communications. The deal had been announced December 4th. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. Harris Broadcast is owned by private equity firm The Gores Group. Imagine Communications developed digital video technology used for adaptive, bit rate optimization and transcoding of video--used by companies to ensure the smooth delivery of video across different kind of transports, including the Internet, mobile networks, and elsewhere.
