Peterson Partners Backs Oil and Gas Software Developer

Salt Lake City-based private equity investor Peterson Partners has backed a developer of data management software for the oil and gas industry. Dallas-based Equity Metrix said this morning that it has raised $5M in a growth investment from Peterson Partners, to accelerate development of new services for its customers. Equity Metrix says it is developing cloud-based, big data software to help manage land and production in the oil and gas industry, to help identiy revenue underpayment and misallocation.
