GeoPalz Debuts Parental Control App For Samsung, Kindle Tablets
Boulder-based GeoPalz, the company behind the activity tracking, games, rewards, and other services of the same name, has expanded into the parental control software market with a new app for Samsung and Kindle Tablets. According to GeoPalz, it has launched a new product called LockerBOt, which lets parents automatically unlock Android device features when children meet certain physical activity goals set by parents. The new app--which costs $0.99 in the Google Play Marketplace--requires children to meet certain physical activity goals by wearing the ibitz by GeoPalz activity trackers, which earns those children the right to use certain applications and features of their Samsung or Kindle tablets. GeoPalz was founded by Rich and Sheri Schmelzer and Alexandra O'Leary who also created the Jibbitz accessories for Crocs.
