Webroot Adds Parental Control Software

Boulder, Colorado-based Webroot has added new parental control software to its product line. The firm said this week that it is shipping a new parental control software named Child Safe. The product will ship through Best Buy and its Geek Squad program through the holidays. The new product includes customized profiles for each child, administrative controls, scheduling and time limits, and other features. The software will retail for $39.95 and is only available through Best Buy. Webroot is backed by Technology Crossover Ventures, Accel Partners and Mayfield.
