Aircell Wins NetJets For In-Flight Internet Expansion
Broomfield, Colorado-based Aircell, the provider of in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity for the business aviation market, reported that it has won an expansion with its deal with NetJets. Aircell said that NetJets, the fractional aircraft ownership firm owned by Berskshire Hathaway, will add its in-flight Internet service to nearly 100 additional aircraft in its fleet. Financial details of the expansion were not disclosed. NetJets and Aircell have had a deal since 2010 to provide in-flight Internet to around 250 aircraft in the NetJets fleet. Aircell provides high speed Internet via its in-flight Wi-Fi services to business users.
