ViaWest Launches Network Attached Storage Option
Denver-based data center and colocation provider ViaWest said this morning that it has launched a new, network attached storage (NAS) option for its clients. The firm said the storage--from partner NetApp--will be offered to its clients as the KINECTed Storage family. ViaWest said the firm's NAS offering will allow users to share data between Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments. Pricing on the new offering was not announced. ViaWest said options include a managed, dedicated NAS offering, where the device is owned by the customer and and managed by ViaWest, or a dedicated NAS solution, where the NAS is owned and managed by ViaWest.
