Level 3 Powers textPlus

Broomfield, Colorado-based Level 3 Communications is powering the new voice communications services for text messaging app textPlus, Level 3 disclosed this morning. Level 3 said it is providing its IP-based voice and messaging services, SMS, and telephone number services to textPlus, the maker of a popular free texting app for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. textPlus recently added support for phone calls on its applications.
