Mersive Gets New Funding
Denver-based Mersive, the provider of software which enables the creation of high performance, large scale displays, has scored new funding today, from two different investors. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. Mersive, which is headed by Rob Balgley, said it has received a multi-million dollar investment from Razor's Edge Ventures, and seperately, entered into a strategic investment and technology development with In-Q-Tel, the venture capital firm which is affiliated with the U.S. intelligence community. Mersive said that Razor's Edge managing directors Mark Spoto and Rob Painter have joined the company's board with the funding. The funding will go towards sales and marketing its products towards both the government and commercial market. Mersive's software helps create very large, high definition displays. Mersive takes multiple, separate projection displays and creates a single, high definition, seamless image. Razor's Edge, along with In-Q-Tel, is also very focused on national security-related technology. More information »
