Net Nanny Adds Android, iOS Support
Salt Lake City-based ContentWatch, the makers of Net Nanny, the Internet filtering software aimed at parents, said today that it is planning a mobile version of its software for both Android and Apple iOS. The firm said its Android software will be available shortly after CES, and the Apple iOS version will ship sometime in Q1. Net Nanny's new mobile software provides filtering capabilities for both types of devices, allowing parents to better control what their kids are browsing on the Internet. Net Nanny said its software includes profanity masking, contextual analysis of web pages, enforced Safe Search on Google, along with other features. The Android software replaces the existing Android, Firefox, Opera, or other browsers on a user's cell phone with its own, filtering browser app.
