Go Daddy Brags About Multi-Million Holiday Bash
Think your company had a happening holiday party this year? Scottsdale-based Go Daddy, the web hosting, domain name registrar, and other Internet services provider said it had a "multi-million" dollar holiday party at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix over the weekend, which included performances by Kid Rock, Dierks Bentley, and Trace Adkins. The firm also said it gave away cash prizes worth more than $1.1 million to its employees as part of the holiday party. GoDaddy did not say exactly how many million it spent on the bash. Go Daddy said it is looking to close its financing deal with private equity firms KKR, Silver Lake and TCV as early as Friday. GoDaddy has a reputation for throwing--and promoting--over-the-top holiday parties.
