Assurance Storage Launches SSD Cache Management Software

Louisville, Colorado-based Assurance Storage, which develops storage software, announced today that it has launched a new, tiering and cache software aimed at the solid state storage market. The firm said its new SmartTier software, aimed at solid state and PCIe NAND Flash devices, helps improve the performance of flash storage in online Transaction Processing (OLTP), Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), and databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL. Assurance Storage is headed by Steve Viscontt. Assurance Storage launched in September, to take technology originally developed at Atrato to OEM customers.
