Solera Networks Gets Patent
Salt Lake City-based Solera Networks, the provider of network analysis and security appliances, said today that it has been awarded a U.S. patent. The firm said it was awarded U.S. Patent No. 8004998, "Capture and regeneration of a network data using a virtual software switch", related to its methods for full packet capture. According to the USPTO, the patent was granted on August 23rd, and names Joseph H.Levy, Matthew Scott Wood, Paal Tveit, Brian Edginton, Steve Shillingford, and James Brown as inventors. The patent was originally filed on May 25, 2009. Solera was represented by Dorsey & Whitney LLP in the filing.
