Utah Technology Council Taps Two For Hall of Fame
The Utah Technology Council, the local industry group bolstering the State of Utah's technology industry, said Monday that it has selected two people to add to its UTC Hall of Fame. The group said it will be inducting Mark Fuller and Stephen Jacobsen to the honorary group later this year. Fuller is the fountain designer behind the fountains at Bellagio, the Revson Fountain at New York's Lincoln Center, the 2002 Olympic Games Cauldron, among many others, and runs firm WET. Jacobsen is head of Sterling Technologies, and also was founder of Sarcos, creator of a wearable kidney, which was acquired by Raytheon in 2007. He also has been involved in Micro-Drugs Inc., Eye-Port Corp. and Motion Control Inc, among others. Jacobsen is also a professor at the University of Utah. The UTC said that its event--being held in November--will be headlined by Oracle founder Larry Ellison.
