Fusion-io Ties Into SuperMicro, IBM

Salt Lake City-based Fusion-io, the developer of high performance, flash-based disk drives, has inked two deals, the firm said today. The first is with Super Micro who it said is its newest Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partner. Super Micro is a developer of rackmount servers. The second is with IBM, which Fusion-io said will start offering its product with its System x Server line. Financial impact of the deals were not announced. Super Micro is showing off its 1U Twin SuperServer running Fusion-io's ioDrive Octal. Fusion-io said IBM is offering up eight versions of its adapters.
