Zayo Group Closes American Fiber Systems Buy
Louisville, Colorado-based Zayo Group, the telecom provider headed up by Dan Caruso, has completed its acquisition of American Fiber Systems, a provider of metro fiber, the firm said Friday. Zayo said the acquisition gives it an additional 1,000 route miles of metropolitan fiber, and over 600 incremental buildings. Zayo said the buy is expected to add $15M in annual EBITDA to the firm. AFC serves Atlanta, Boise, Cleveland, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Nashville, Reno and Salt Lake City. Zayo said AFC has annualized recurring revenues of approximately $28M. With this latest in a long string of acquisitions, Zayo now owns over 22,000 fiber route miles.
