Rally Buys iPhone App From Boulder Firm
Boulder-based Rally Software, a developer of Agile software management tools, announced today that it has acquired ScrumAway, an application for the iPhone, and made it a part of its offerings. Rally said the software--which has been renamed Rally for the iPhone--allows users to connect into status, progress, and quality of Agile development projects, including connecting to Rally's own software tools. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The software was previously $15, but is now available for free as part of the acquisition. The software title was developed by Blue Hole Software, which is also based in Boulder. A spokesperson for Rally told Techrockies.com that the acquisition was "a great opportunity to very quickly add value to our customers," explaining that it felt the ability to access its software via mobile phone was a "very powerful" feature to provide its customers.
