CIBER Names Silicon Valley Vet As CEO

Greenwood Village-based CIBER, a provider of information technology consulting, services, and outsourcing, said Thursday that it has named Dave Peterschmidt as its CEO and member of its board. Peterschmidt was CEO of Openwave Systems, Chairman and CEO of Inktomi, and also served at Sybase and Electronic Data Systems. Peterschmidt is relocating to Denver from Silicon Valley to join the firm, and also serves on the boards of Savvis and Limelight Networks. Among other achievements, Peterschmidt led search firm inktomi through an initial public offering and acquisition by Yahoo! in 2003.
