Format Dynamics Lands $5.5M

Denver-based Format Dynamics, a developer of software which reformats printed web pages from web publishers into a magazine-like format, said today that it has raised $5.5M in a Series B funding round. The firm said the funding came from an un-named private investment group and its existing investors. Format Dynamics develops software which reformats web sites into a magazine-like format--complete with advertising. The firm said that such publishers as MSNBC, Fox Sports, Time Inc., Dow Jones, and Media News Group are using its product. Format Dynamics said the funding will allow it to expand its operations.
