Intrado Wins State of Vermont

Longmont-based Intrado, a provider of 911 equipment and emergency communications products, reported today that it has signed the State of Vermont as a customer. The firm, which is now a subsidiary of West Corporation, said that it will enhance Vermont's 911 emergency telephone system, to help improve emergency response. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Intrado said the new system will be based on Internet Protocol (IP) networking. Intrado said the deployment is expected to be complete by mid-year 2011.
