Microchip Targets iPod, iPhone Accessory Developers

Chandler, Arizona-based Microchip Technology, which develops microcontrollers and analog semiconductors, is targeting developers of iPod and iPhone accessories, it said today. The firm said it has created three new development kits, which will help enable design of accessories for the iPod and iPhone. The firm said the kits use its portfolio of PIC microcontrollers to show examples of digital sound systems, docking stations, and other accessories for the iPod and iPhone.
