ADA Technologies Wins $100K Contract From Air Force
Littleton, Colorado-based ADA Technologies, a research and development firm, said today that it has received a $100,000 contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory, covering development of advanced Lithium-Polymer batteries. According to ADA, the contract covers developing an Lithium-Polymer (LiPo) battery for use in miniaturized hybrid power systems for micro air vehicles (MAVs). MAVs are tiny, insect-size vehicles being developed by the military for surveillance and other operations. ADA Technologies said its work would help provide greater range, endurance and maneuverability for MAVs.
