Wilson Electronics Launches New Cell Phone Booster
St. George, Utah-based Wilson Electronics, a maker of cell phone signal boosters for rural and weak cell phone coverage areas, has launched a new device at CES, the firm said today. Wilson said its Sleek signal booster, which measures 4 1/4 by 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/4 inches, is designed for use in vehicles or for a home and office, and will retail for $129.00. The new device extends calling range and signal strength on North American cell service providers, with the exception of Nextel/iDEN, and works on the 800MHz cellular and 1900 MHz PCS frequency bands.
