Advanced Energy Opens Fort Collins Plant
Fort Collins-based Advanced Energy, a developer of electric inverters for the photovoltaic power industry, announced a grand opening of the firm's new, 48,000 square-foot production facility in the city Wednesday. The firm said the new production facility will produce 250 megawatts of its Solaron PV grid-tie inverter annually, with capacity of more than one gigawatt. Advanced Energy's grid-tie inverters are used in conjunction with solar panels from other manufacturers, to produce AC power tied into the electric grid.
