Medical Imaging Holdings Buys Sonora Medical Systems

Golden, Colorado-based Medical Imaging Holdings, the private-equity backed firm focused on medical imaging equipment, said Monday that it has acquired Sonora Medical Systems from Misonix, Inc. According to Medical Imaging Holdings--which is backed by Galen Partners--the firm will be combined with businesses of Barrington Medical Imaging and Echoserve, which were both acquired last month by the company. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Galen and Medical Imaging Holdings said they are looking to consolidate high-potential, technology-enabled companies and assets in the medical imaging market.
