Grow Utah Names Finalists On Energy Contest, Set To Give Award Today
Grow Utah Ventures has named the finalists for the firm's "Concept to Company" contest, which challenges Utah entrepreneurs to come up with responsible energy production companies. The contest is one of a series of competitions being run by Grow Utah. The finalists are David J. Bower Technologies, a developer of water filtering technology; Wind Wave, a developer of wind turbines; Bret Randal – Public Wastewater Energy Recovery Systems, developing algae biomass cultivation and public wastewater treatment systems; Altus Poles, which is developing fiber-grid pole structures; Sustain Fitness, a fitness center using human power to generate energy; Sustainable Energy Solutions, which is developing technology to reduce CO2 emissions from refineries; and Anaerobic Digestion Technologies, which is working on a system to remove corrosive chemical contaminants from biologically produced methane gas streams. The contest will name the winners today at an event at the USU extension in Vernal, Utah.
