Open Range Taps Harris Stratex For NOC Services

Greenwood Village, Colorado-based Open Range Communications is tapping Harris Stratex Networks for network operations center (NOC) management, the firms said earlier this week. The companies said the deal will allow Open Range to reduce its operational expenses as it builds out its WiMax network. Harris Stratex will manage and monitor the network infrastructure for Open Range Networks. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. Open Range is deploying a WiMax-based network focused on serving rural communities.
