Acme Aerospace Acquired
Tempe, Arizona-based Acme Aerospace, a subsidiary of Actuant Corporation which produces nickel cadmium batteries and power conversion equipment for the Boeing 777 and other aircraft, has been sold to Cleveland-based TransDigm Group. TransDigm said it paid approximately $40M in cash for Acme Aerospace, whose products are used in the Boeing 777, 737, 747, 757, 767, and MD 90, the Apache helicopter, and C-17 and F-18 aircraft, among others. According to TransDigm, Acme had revenues of approximately $18M, and employs 90 people in Tempe.
