Sorrento Networks Gets Win In Hawaii
Denver-based Sorrento Networks, a developer of optical networking equipment, reported Monday afternoon that the firm has been selected by Hawaii's Institution Network (INET) for its fiber optical network. Exact size of the deal was not disclosed by the company, however, Sorrento said its wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) equipment will be used to boost bandwidth and speed of the network. The Hawaii network is used to connect the University of Hawaii campuses, the Department of Education, and Hawaii's Information and Communication Services Division.
