Freewave Technologies' Founders Give $9M Bonus

Boulder, Colorado-based FreeWave Technologies, a developer of wireless communications products, announced this morning that the founders of the firm have given a $9M, equity bonus to its employees. According to the firm, the bonus was given by founders Steve Wulchin and Jonathan Sawyer to reward their employees, after a $113M private equity transaction. FreeWave said that the third installment of the bonus was distributed last Thursday. The firm did not say how many employees shared in the bonus. Freewave took $113M from TA Associates in June of 2007.
