Vucci Targets Virtualization Market

A new, Rockies-based virtualization services firm has opened its doors. Headquartered in the Salt Lake City, Utah, suburb of Lehi and doing business as Vucci Technology Solutions, Vucci Inc. officially launched on Dec. 1, and offers implementation and design of virtualized data centers. In the two months since, the privately owned IT solutions provider has signed a client roster that includes J.P. Morgan, The Generations Network, University Health Care and Utah Valley University. According to a company spokesperson, Vucci was founded by Dave Affleck, chief executive officer; Lance Affleck, chief operating officer; and Corey Davis, chief marketing officer. Before Vucci, the spokesperson noted, Dave Affleck held an identical role with Data Storage Solutions Inc., a Provo, Utah-based IT products and services provider. The spokesperson added that Vucci is currently self-funded but might seek venture financing at a later date, though no timetable has been set.
