Hypercom Names APAC Head

Scottsdale, Arizona-based Hypercom Corp., a manufacturer of electronic payment devices, reported Tuesday that it has hired Jacques-Herve Maupin as managing director of the Asia-Pacific region, effective immediately. The firm said Maupin succeeds TK Cheung, who was promoted to the newly created position of vice president of quality and security. Hypercom said Maupin will report to Philippe Tartavull, the company’s president and chief executive. Previously, Hypercom noted, Maupin spent six years as managing director of the Asia-Pacific region for Oberthur Technologies. He has also worked with Cap Gemini Asia and Telesystemes.
