Sunquest Acquires Software Suite from PAML

Sunquest Information Systems Inc., a Tucson, Ariz.-based publisher of laboratory and diagnostic information applications, announced Thursday that it has completed its acquisition of a software suite from Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories. Financial terms of the deal, which was originally reported on Dec. 18, were not disclosed. According to Sunquest, it acquired PAML's Outreach Advantage suite to complement its strategic initiative of providing outreach and laboratory connectivity solutions to the U.S. and international markets. Sunquest added that the suite will enable its customers to reduce the operating costs associated with communications between hospitals, laboratories, physicians and patients. Sunquest also said that it will allow PAML to continue using the suite under license.
