Sunquest to Acquire U.K.-Based Anglia Healthcare

Tucson, Ariz.-based Sunquest Information Systems Inc. announced today that it has agreed to acquire Anglia Healthcare Systems Ltd., a privately held provider of software and support for primary and secondary care trusts. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Sunquest, the acquisition will broaden its global presence and strengthen its product offerings. England-based Anglia, Sunquest explained, is a market leader in the United Kingdom, boasting a 60 percent share of the communications and reporting systems market for U.K.-based acute trust hospitals. Anglia provides similar services for several hospitals in Denmark, Sunquest added. Sunquest noted that it expects the deal to close in November.
