Amtech Subsidiary Lands $5M in Solar Orders

Tempe, Arizona-based Amtech Systems Inc., a manufacturer of automated systems for use in semiconductor production, revealed Tuesday that it has received a total of $5 million worth of business from two new customers in Asia and Europe. According to Amtech, the new business went to its solar subsidiary, Tempress Systems Inc., which will provide the clients with diffusion-processing systems. Specifically, Amtech said, the Asian order is for multiple systems while the European order is for a solar research and development institute.
