Amtech Claims Boost In Solar Orders

Tempe, Arizona-based semiconductor equipment maker Amtech Systems said Monday that it has seen $33M in new solar orders. The firm said the orders went to its solar subsidiary, Tempress Systems, and came from both new and existing customers in Asia. The firm has reporting major solar equipment orders all year. The firm's equipment are used for fabrication of photovoltaic wafers.
