IHS Completes Global Insight Buy

Englewood, Colorado-based IHS Inc. said today that it has completed its acquisition of Global Insight, Inc., in a deal that was worth $118M in cash and approximately 1.3 million share of IHS common stock. Global Insight provides economic forecasts and other analysis used by business, finance, and government organizations, and runs well known Jane's Information Group. According to IHS, Global Insight has extimated 2008 revenues of approximately $120M. IHS said that the move adds around 700 employees in 25 offices to the firm. The deal was originally announced in September.
