Avnet Promotes Exec

Avnet Electronics Marketing, the electronic components distribution arm of Phoenix-based Avnet Inc., reported Monday that it has promoted Bill Crowell to senior vice president and group financial officer, effective immediately. Crowell had served as vice president and group financial officer for the Avnet Technology Solutions group since 2002. In his new role, he will report directly to Harley Feldberg, president of Avnet Electronic Marketing. Prior to joining Avnet, Crowell was chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary of Microtest Inc. He also spent eight years with Rural/Metro Corp., where he enjoyed stints as vice president of financial services and senior vice president of finance and acquisitions.
