Olocity Rolls Storage Management Software
Colorado Springs-based Olocity, a developer of storage area networking management software, said today that it has acquired StorageIM, an open source storage network management software tool. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Olocity said it will integrate the software, which is used for managing storage area networks, into its offerings. StorageIM uses the CIM and SMI-S standards for managing Fibre Channel and other storage equipment; those standards efforts are being driven by the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA).
