Level 3 Sues Limelight Networks Over Patents

Tempe, Arizona-based Limelight Networks said Monday that Level 3 Communications has filed a lawsuit against the company. Limelight said that Level 3 alleges that the firm has infringed on certain Level 3 patents. No other details of the lawsuit were disclosed, however Limelight said that it believed the allegations are without merit and will defend itself vigorously. Both Limelight and Level 3 provide content delivery network (CDN) and related services.
