Limelight Networks Sues Akamai, XO

Tempe, Arizona-based content delivery network provider Limelight Networks has sued competitors Akamai and XO Communications over patent infringement, according to the company this morning, saying that the two have infringed on six of its patents. Limelight said it is seeking "significant relief and future protection against any illegal competition" by filing the patent infringement suit, which was filed in the Eastern District of Virginia. The company said it is being represented by Tensegrity Law Group and Hunton & Williams in the lawsuit.
