Wasatch Venture Fund Becomes EPIC Ventures
Wasatch Venture Fund, a regional venture financing firm that specializes in technology startups, announced Friday that it has changed its name to EPIC Ventures. The Salt Lake City, Utah-based business explained that it re-branded itself in order to reflect its growth from a local, Utah-centric firm to a burgeoning regional outfit. EPIC Ventures said it will continue to maintain its offices in Utah, New Mexico and Idaho. The firm will also remain closely allied with Zions Bank, which founded Wasatch Venture Fund in 1994 and has participated in previous funding efforts. EPIC Ventures has invested in more than 90 companies throughout the country since its creation.
