Plasmon Scores Win At GE Healthcare

Broomfield, Colorado-based Plasmon said this week that it has shipped the firm's Archive Appliance Express product to GE Healthcare. The firm said that the units were acquired for use in the Japanese market, but did not disclose the size of the deal. Plasmon's Archive Appliance Express product is a data archiving product that the firm is targeting at small to medium sized medical businesses. The platform uses the company's UDO optical disk format in combination with cached RAID. Plasmon develops data storage and backup hardware based on optical technology.
