DBL Distributing Acquired By Ingram Micro

Scottsdale, Arizona-based consumer electronics distributor DBL Distributing, has been acquired by Ingram Micro, an electronics distributor, for $96M. According to Ingram Micro, it will continue operating DBL Distributing as a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, with the same brand name, business model, and management structure. DBL Distributing has approximately 350 employees and distributes consumer electronic products to independent retailers nationwide. Ingram said that DBL Distributing had 2006 sales of nearly $300M, and produces gross and operating margins that are double that of its core distribution business.
