TeleDirect Merges with Wygant

TeleDirect International, a provider of customer-interaction-management software, has merged with Wygant, a developer of call center-optimization tools, TeleDirect reported Wednesday. The companies, which have partnered in producing integrated sales solutions for more than a decade, will operate under the TeleDirect name. Founded in 1983, TeleDirect is based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Its most significant product is Liberation, a tool that integrates customer-interaction-management, customer-relationship-management and workforce-optimization procedures. Wygant, also established in 1983, is headquartered in Portland, Ore., and is best known for its Encore, CenterPlus and Portfolio software brands.
