Axway Buys B2B Unit

Scottsdale, Arizona-based Axway, a subsidiary of Paris-based Sopra Group, said yesterday that it is acquiring the German B2B software business of Atos Origin. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Both firms develop collaborative B2B software for businesses. The firm's software is used for ERP, electronic data exchange (EDI), and other processes in the automotive indsutry, healthcare, logistics, and financial services industries. The combined company will have over 1,100 employees. Atos Origin's B2B software unit has operations across Germany.
